Chinese stone sector report 2017: imports and domestic consumption up, exports down

The China Stone Material Association recently published data on stone production and trade for 2017, when once again China proved to be the undisputed market leader with a 31.5% share of the world’s quarry output (48 million tons) and a 40.5% share of processed material exports (10.9 million tons). According to the report, China’s stone slab production in 2017 reached 745 million square meters.
