At the XIAMEN STONE FAIR 2026 (March 16-19) Italy was given the role of “Guest Country of Honor” at the big Chinese tradeshow devoted to the natural stone and allied industries. The project – promoted by CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE, among other, by request of the show’s organizers – involved a series of events and communication endeavors aimed at promoting the excellence of products Made in Italy, both stone materials and extraction and processing technologies.
So this year the XIAMEN STONE FAIR spotlights were on the more than 60 Italian companies exhibiting at the event and representing the finest of a global stone industry leader that has more than 3,200 companies with more than 34,000 employees, revenue that in 2025 surpassed $US 5.1 billion and a strong propensity to export – worth 3.5 billion – that accounts for more than 70% of production.
The project’s inauguration ceremony, to which representatives of the Italian companies present at the show were invited for a welcoming toast, was held on March 16 at the Meeting Point Italia/CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE stand and attended by, among others, the president of the Italian techno-stone association, Gianluca Pellegrino, its honorary president, Flavio Marabelli, and the vice-president of the Xiamen Jinhongxin Exhibition Co. Ltd, – the show’s organizing company – Lai Guoxiang.
The XIAMEN STONE FAIR, arriving at its 26th edition, was again this year one of the top shows globally for the stone and techno-stone industry. In fact, the event drew more than 2,000 exhibitors – about 300 foreign – to an expo complex measuring 191,000 square meters and attracting more than 154,000 visitors from all over the world.
We mention that CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE, through Marmomacchine Servizi, again this year coordinated and promoted the participation of Italian sector companies at the Chinese tradeshow, organizing inside Hall 4 of the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center – the one reserved to international exhibitors – a large (more than 1,200 square meter) ITALIA display area.

Inside the ITALIA area at Xiamen there was once again an official lounge/Meeting Point Italia offering its customary support and promotional services along with a much-appreciated catering service for exhibitor companies and their customers.
