February 26 to 29 were the dates in Riyadh for the 2024 edition of STONE & SURFACE SAUDI ARABIA, the main Saudi event devoted to internal and external coverings and surfaces. The show was part of a rich panel of events within BIG 5 CONSTRUCT SAUDI, the reference tradeshow in the Persian Gulf country for the building sector, which this year had some 850 exhibitors and more than 40,000 visitors.
For STONE & SURFACE SAUDI ARABIA 2024, CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE promoted the participation of Italian stone and techno-stone companies, both directly and through a collective exhibit organized in close synergy with ICE-Agency and with support from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI).
On the statistical level we remind readers that – according to CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE Studies Center data – in 2023 Saudi Arabia registered huge growth in its purchases of stone-working machinery and equipment Made in Italy (+305%) for a total worth 12.1 million euros. Also good last year were the country’s imports of stone materials from Italy, both raw (for 7.9 million) and semi-finished and finished products (for 61.6 million).
