For the past 30 years EXPO CIHAC has been the reference show in Mexico and Latin America for the building industry and the innovations regarding a wide spectrum of building, architecture and interior design. In fact, the building sector is one of the main segments of the Mexican economy and the most important in terms of market value in all of Central-South America. The 2023 edition of EXPO CIHAC had more than 500 exhibitors – on an area of some 22,000 square meters – and drew more than 18,000 operators and specialized buyers.

We remind readers that in 2022 Mexico registered big growth in its imports of Italian machines, installations and technologies for extracting and processing natural stones, reaching worth of 27.8 million euros – a figure that gave the Central American country 12th place among buyers according to CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE Studies Center ranking.

There are also good signs on the Mexican market for stone products Made in Italy (with 17.4 million euros worth of imports of marbles, granites and other natural stones in 2022) thanks to the upswing in the local building industry.
