Italian stone stars in Tokyo at the JAPAN HOME & BUILDING SHOW 2022

October 26 to 28 were the dates at the Tokyo Big Sight expo center for the JAPAN HOME & BUILDINGSHOW 2022, the biggest Japanese tradeshow for professionals in the housing and building industry.

For this important even on the Japanese market CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE and ICE-Agency coordinated and promoted the collective participation of Italian stone companies, with the following companies exhibiting: Arvex Italstyle – Bossong – Degemar Cave – Franchi Umberto Marmi – Gda Marmi e Graniti – Le Pietre – Leather Stone – Marmi e Graniti d’Italia – Marmi Faedo – Marmi Ghirardi – Porfido Trentino – Serafini – So.f.i.l. – Zenith C.

The Italian area at the JAPAN HOME & BUILDING SHOW also featured a welcoming official CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE-ICE Meeting Point, offering information and assistance for Italian exhibitors and visitors. The Italian presence at the show was welcomed with satisfaction also by the Italian ambassador to Japan, Gianluigi Benedetti, who – accompanied by Honorary CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE President, Flavio Marabelli and ICE Tokyo Director, Erica di Giovancarlo – visited the Italian hall on inauguration day and greeted the participating companies.

The JAPAN HOME & BUILDING SHOW is one of the reference events for the stone industry and building sector on a market where, in 2021, natural stone imports amounted to worth of 1,202 million yen in value (+43% from the previous year), surpassing pre-pandemic levels (935 million yen).

In Japan there are also ongoing projects for new buildings and restructuring existent ones, with designs that privilege the use of renewable energies and eco-sustainable materials. Participation in the JAPAN HOME & BUILDING SHOW was therefore aimed at promoting the excellence, quality and innovation capabilities of stone products Made in Italy, helping to increase business opportunities for Italian exports and contributing to Italy’s even better competitive positioning.
